As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution location, you will conduct routine patrols across galleries and grounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear, respectful communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity as you support a caring, people-first team.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, parishioners, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or fire or alarm activations, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual activity, and complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs according to site requirements.
• Assist with visitor direction and event-related support at a cultural and faith-based location, including checking doors and gates, supporting crowd flow, and/or coordinating with local responders when needed.
