As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail store and mall setting.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, stockroom areas, entrances, and the immediate perimeter to help to deter theft and/or other security-related incidents.
• Monitor shopper and associate activity, observe for unusual behavior, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, supporting loss prevention efforts as directed, and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
• Complete shift documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and maintenance or hazard notifications, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnovers.
