As a Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will welcome visitors, support sign-in procedures, verify credentials, manage access points, and document activity while serving as a calm, professional first point of contact. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government facility front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate department or contact.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communication systems from the front desk and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete security-related reports, visitor logs, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
