As a Front Desk Officer at a cultural institution location, you will be a welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, greet guests and staff, answer questions, and support a positive experience. You will monitor activity through observations and systems, document security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with site leadership and your Allied Universal team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting members, visitors, and staff, answering questions, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas while supporting site-specific access procedures.
  • Monitor lobby activity, entrances, and available systems to help identify unusual behavior and report security-related concerns according to site-specific policies.
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue credentials as required, assist with key and/or property sign-out procedures, and notify designated contacts of arrivals, deliveries, and service requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete required documentation such as activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
