About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Desk in West Henrietta, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet visitors, manage access credentials, answer calls, and monitor cameras and alarms to help support a welcoming atmosphere. You will document incidents, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures for a tech, media, and telecom location.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate contacts while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Monitor cameras, access control systems, and front desk alarm panels, and report irregular activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and customer service documentation, and communicate key updates during shift turnover.
