As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control at entrances and key points, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and assisting with access control and visitor management at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to discourage unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical and/or behavioral events, and coordinate with clinical staff and local responders as directed.
  • Complete security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and support emergency response activities such as evacuation and/or shelter-in-place procedures per site policy.
