As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and document security-related observations. You will maintain a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity while delivering service focused, clear communication. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor logs, issuing visitor passes as required, and directing traffic to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and access control systems, reporting irregular activity and documenting events per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying Allied Universal supervision and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports for incidents, access activity, and policy violations, and communicate relevant updates to on-site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
