As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor entry points and manage access control to help support smooth daily operations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members, visitors, and drivers. Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification, checking credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing deliveries to designated check-in areas.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing employee, visitor, and vendor traffic to help identify unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, escalating concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entry points, parking areas, and perimeter lines, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
