As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will support access control at key entrances, verify credentials and badges, manage visitor check-ins, and help maintain clear security-related records using a computer or tablet. You will remain highly visible, perform routine patrols, and communicate professionally with shoppers, tenants, and management to help reduce incidents. You will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Have CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Manage access control at designated entrances by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the correct areas.
• Monitor and document deliveries, vendor check-ins, and service calls; maintain accurate logs and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate clearly with on-site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, corridors, and the exterior perimeter; report hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
