Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity in accordance with location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe conditions that may require attention.
  • Assist with gatehouse and/or community entrance operations, including checking credentials, directing approved visitors, and following post orders related to security-related access management.
