As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitors and vehicles, and support smooth traffic flow for employees and contractors. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with site teams, and document security-related activity with strong attention to detail. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing traffic flow in accordance with location requirements.
  • Screen persons, packages, and vehicles as required, to help identify prohibited items and/or unauthorized access attempts, and report irregularities through established reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting on-site response personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or hazards, and complete required reports.
