As a Security Officer, you will greet associates and drivers, verify credentials, manage visitor and truck check-in, and monitor entry points and cameras. You will conduct routine patrols and document security-related activity while delivering customer service with clear communication. Bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile mindset to every shift.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, checking credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing drivers, employees, and vendors to the appropriate areas.
- Screen incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic as required, including coordinating with site personnel on shipping and receiving schedules and reporting access issues.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and promptly notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require follow up.
