As a Front Desk Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will welcome staff, patients, and visitors, support access control and badging, monitor cameras and alarms, and document incidents with clear communication. You will respond to security-related concerns, help to deter unwanted activity through a visible presence, and provide calm customer service during high-pressure moments. Requirements

  • This position is in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.
  • This position is in a hospital environment and may involve working in and/or around a morgue.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific policies, completing required check-in procedures, and directing patients, visitors, and staff to the appropriate departments.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating with clinical and administrative staff for authorized access.
  • Monitor security-related systems at the desk such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels, and report irregular activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for medical support, contacting local emergency services when directed, and assisting with orderly area control as needed.
  • Complete timely written reports for security-related events, policy violations, and unusual activity, and communicate updates during shift turnovers.
