You will monitor assigned areas, document observations, respond to calls for service, and assist staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. Requirements

  • Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
  • The client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Provide DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following assigned access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and support security-related operations.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and public-facing areas, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when directed and documenting activity per post orders.
  • Complete routine security-related documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol reports, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or site representatives.
