About The Position

As a Security Officer - Fence Line Patrol in PHILADELPHIA, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, assisting with visitor check-in and/or directions, and observing for policy violations within academic and gallery spaces.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical responses, fire alarms, and disorderly conduct until additional resources arrive.
  • Complete patrol and incident reports, document observations, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
