As a Screener at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and badging, and help maintain smooth entry procedures through clear communication and professional customer service. You will stay visible at key checkpoints, document activity, and respond to security-related concerns as they arise, reflecting Allied Universal values of integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Screen and verify persons, vehicles, and deliveries for authorized access using approved identification checks, visitor logs, and entry authorization processes.
  • Monitor entry points and surrounding areas using visual observation and available systems, documenting access activity and reporting unusual conditions to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting first responder access as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by post.
