As a Screener in a busy healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff, conduct entry screening and access control, and communicate clearly while staying highly visible at key points throughout the facility. You will document activity, report concerns, and coordinate with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents, reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Hospital: Vaccines is required.
  • Hospital: Morgue is required.
  • Hospital: Restrain Individuals is required.
  • 2+ Years' Service in Healthcare/Medical‐Related Field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Staff a screening post at designated entry points by greeting entrants, supporting visitor check-in processes, and directing individuals to appropriate departments and/or waiting areas.
  • Conduct screening activities as required by site policy, such as observing for signs of illness, asking screening questions, and coordinating next steps when an individual does not meet entry criteria.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and assisting with traffic flow and crowd control near entrances.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
