As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarms and activity that may require security-related attention. You will stay visible to help discourage issues, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and document observations with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site representatives and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, processing areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access through designated entry points by checking identification, logging visitors and contractors, issuing credentials as directed, and directing traffic and deliveries according to site rules.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, monitor cameras and other systems when assigned, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
