As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and support access control and visitor screening as needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will deliver customer-focused assistance and clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting dispatch and/or public responders as needed and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
• Control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and monitor entry points and/or vehicle gates in accordance with site instructions.
• Monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and customer interactions.
