As a Front Desk Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, document activity, and support a professional, service-focused lobby presence that helps promote a secure environment. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, clear communication, and a caring culture that puts people first, while working as an agile, reliable, innovative teammate.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Staff the front desk and control access by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and report irregular conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by managing phone calls, radio communications, and visitor and vehicle screening procedures as required by site policy.
