As a Dispatch Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help coordinate daily security-related activity by monitoring systems, receiving calls, tracking incidents, and dispatching officers to where they are needed. You will support access control and visitor flow, document events clearly, and provide professional customer service to employees and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and onsite personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor alarms, radio traffic, and/or camera systems; receive calls for service and dispatch patrol personnel and/or site resources based on priority and established post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document events and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports, including incident documentation, dispatch activity, and shift pass-down information, using site systems and required forms.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
