As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, support access control operations, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication with students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an education location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, common areas, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter routes as assigned, with working conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor guidance, after-hours checks, and/or ID and badge policy support in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or activity documentation, and assist with security-related escorts and special event coverage when assigned.
