As an Armed Patrol Officer at a premier performing arts location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. You will support guests, staff, and visiting talent through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a performing arts venue environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with venue management and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, theaters, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access control points and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or tickets as assigned, and assist with orderly entry and exit during events, intermissions, and venue close.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate via radio and/or phone, and document observations and actions taken during patrols and incidents.
