You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and concerns with calm, clear communication. This post requires an Armed Guard Card and/or license. Bring strong customer service and report writing skills to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and driven by integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial services location, including lobbies, office areas, parking areas and perimeter as assigned.
  • Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit of employees, visitors and vendors, verifying credentials and directing individuals to the appropriate destination per site policies.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, including incident documentation, patrol activity and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
