You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers a fast-paced environment where you can bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Have an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around government transportation facilities, buildings, parking areas and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state requirements and post orders.
Help to control access at entrances, gates and/or secured areas by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in and directing foot and vehicle traffic.
Monitor cameras, alarms and/or dispatch communications; promptly report unusual activity and coordinate response with site representatives and public agencies as directed.
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs and other required documentation; communicate key information to the next shift during post turnover.
Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical calls and/or facility lockdown actions as directed by post orders and responding authorities.
Provide a visible uniformed presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior, trespassing and/or property damage in and around the location.
Operate radios, phones and other communications equipment; maintain professional, clear and timely communication with supervisors and site contacts.
