About The Position

As a Security Officer - Parking Structure Patrol in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly while delivering customer service. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site staff and/or local public response partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations per site policy.
• Complete patrol and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal management and site representatives, and report maintenance hazards and/or policy concerns through the proper channels.
