As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and store teams with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and/or mall environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, medical events, fire alarms and/or requests for assistance from store management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior sales floors, common areas, loading docks and exterior perimeters to help to deter theft, loitering and/or other policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits and high-traffic areas, assist with access control when required and communicate observed concerns to appropriate personnel while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document and report activities, incidents and observations using required reports and/or electronic systems, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and local emergency services as needed.
