About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Tar Heel, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location, conducting unarmed patrols and mobile rounds with a highly visible presence to help to discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license for perimeter checks, access point monitoring, and quick response to calls for service. Deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and detailed reports as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and acts with integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per site requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization for contractors and deliveries, and directing traffic flow as assigned.
Complete reports and logs such as shift activity reports, patrol notes, and incident reports, and communicate important information to site contacts and incoming officers.
