About The Position

As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical-related alerts as directed, and requests for assistance from clinical and administrative teams.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, waiting areas, and exterior grounds and/or parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying authorization as required, providing directions, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
  • Document and report security-related activity, hazards, and incidents using required reporting methods, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
