Job Description As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. You will document activity, support visitors and staff with strong customer service, and collaborate with site teams. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and local public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting concerns through established communication and documentation processes.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol activity reports, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
