About The Position

As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Homer Glen, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, support access control practices, and collaborate with onsite teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, labs, parking areas, and perimeter points; check doors, gates, and critical areas for unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting guest deliveries and/or service calls per site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and daily activity logs; relay timely updates during shift turnovers and follow the chain of command for escalations.
