As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-ins, and support traffic flow for employees, contractors, and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and document activity clearly. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or access points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, verifying authorizations, and maintaining accurate access logs for personnel, contractors, and deliveries.
  • Screen and/or inspect vehicles, packages, and deliveries as permitted by site policy, and direct traffic flow to support orderly movement throughout a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
