As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help support security-related operations by managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle logs. You will stay highly visible, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and respond to access requests and incidents with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge requirements, and security-related policies at a manufacturing location.
  • Control entry and exit for personnel and vehicles by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining required logs and/or electronic records.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and emergency responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct security-related screening of packages, deliveries, and vehicles as required, and report irregularities through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Support emergency response activities by following site instructions for evacuation, shelter-in-place, and traffic control, and assist with incident documentation as needed.
