Job Description As a Security Officer - Overnight Foot Rounds in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related concerns, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or responders, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, and innovative while putting people first through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, common spaces, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe for unusual activity, and assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures consistent with site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete security-related reports and activity logs, communicate updates during shift turnover, and support incident follow-up as directed.
