About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Entry Control Driver in Lewisville, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will support access control by greeting drivers and visitors, checking credentials, managing entry and exit points, and documenting activity. You will remain highly visible, complete routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound activity including trucks and trailers by confirming appointments, checking documentation as directed, and coordinating with site personnel to help support orderly flow through gates and docks.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, staging areas, and perimeter routes, watching for unsecured doors, broken fencing, and irregular activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
