Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Calabasas, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community access control post, you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage entry logs, and help direct traffic flow while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence. You will conduct routine checks of gates and common areas, help to deter security-related incidents through visibility and clear communication, and support a caring, people-first culture with integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This is a driving post.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and visitor management requirements.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian entry at designated community access points, including verifying authorization, issuing visitor passes when applicable, and maintaining accurate entry and/or incident logs.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, intercoms, and access control devices, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency responders when appropriate and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage, and report maintenance and security-related concerns.
