As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet guests, and support a welcoming shopping experience. You will monitor activity, respond to alarms and/or incidents, and document observations while partnering with site leadership and local responders. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail and/or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entrances, employee areas, and delivery points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in, and directing foot traffic to authorized areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and activity near entrances and high-traffic areas, reporting suspicious behavior and conditions that may help to deter theft and/or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of store areas, corridors, and perimeter areas to check doors, access points, and operational conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
