About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Park Rover in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and reports, support access control, document activity, and deliver professional customer service with clear communication. Requirements

Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience preferred.
Comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.
CPR/First Aid preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading and service areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
Monitor security-related systems such as alarm panels, access control, and video surveillance when assigned, and report irregularities per site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire and/or alarm activations, and unauthorized entry attempts, and escalate to law enforcement and/or fire services when needed.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and electronic logs with clear, timely, and accurate details.
Perform foot patrols for extended periods and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions based on site requirements.
Communicate professionally with property management, engineering, and other onsite teams to coordinate responses to security-related and/or operational issues.
Assist with key and/or access device control per site policy, including tracking issuance and reporting lost or damaged items.
Support traffic flow and parking enforcement as assigned, including responding to complaints and guiding vehicles to authorized areas.
