You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to tenant and visitor concerns with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with property teams, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Help to monitor access points within a commercial property, verifying identification and/or credentials when required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading and service areas, stairwells, and the exterior perimeter as directed by site procedures.
  • Help to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or potential hazards during patrols and report findings to property management and/or dispatch per site protocol.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders and following escalation procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, including patrol activity logs, access control records, and shift turnover notes.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems when assigned, and communicate observed issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Assist with tenant and visitor requests such as directions, lost and found intake, and coordinating access for deliveries and service vendors per site policies.
  • Help to maintain order in lobbies, entrances, and shared amenities by addressing loitering, unauthorized access, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support emergency and non-emergency drills and/or response activities, including evacuations, shelter-in-place guidance, and accountability steps as directed by post orders.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, property staff, and/or local responders using radios, phones, and written reports as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with site-specific policies and post orders.
