About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Complex Patrol in Franklin Park, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control as needed. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and deliver strong customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, tenants, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and/or card access, and respond to alerts according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, coordinating with site management, and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or site contacts.
