About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Complex Patrol in Franklin Park, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control as needed. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and deliver strong customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. Requirements

A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and/or card access, and respond to alerts according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, coordinating with site management, and contacting emergency services when needed.
Complete required documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or site contacts.
