Security Officer - Night Perimeter Rover
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Night Perimeter Rover in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns. You will support access control, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver customer service with clear, professional communication. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office areas, common spaces, loading or delivery points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, alarms, and/or disputes, and communicate updates to appropriate contacts.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in a tech-focused location, verifying authorization, assisting with directions, and documenting entries, deliveries, and/or other site activity per policy.
- Complete detailed reports and logs related to patrols, incidents, and/or observations, and promptly report unusual conditions or security-related hazards through established channels.
