As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for guests and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a welcoming environment for guests and staff.
  • Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site staff, local authorities, and Allied Universal management as needed to address security-related matters.
