About The Position

As a Security Officer - Municipal Foot Patrol in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist riders and staff with clear communication, respond to concerns, and document activities and observations. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, concourses, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for suspicious behavior and/or unattended items, and document observations according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with dispatch, local law enforcement, and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete required reports and activity logs, communicate shift updates, and support investigations by preserving observations and available information for supervisors and/or authorized personnel.
