As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests with calm professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or local partners, and provide customer service that supports daily operations. Requirements

Have at least 6+ months of security experience.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, assisting with crowd control, and coordinating with site management and/or local authorities as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, bus bays, parking areas, and perimeter routes, observing and reporting conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor assigned areas for suspicious behavior, unattended items, and policy violations, and complete required activity logs and incident reports in a timely manner.
Control access as directed by post orders, provide directions and assistance, and use radios and/or other communications equipment to relay information to dispatch and site contacts.
