About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will support access control and visitor activity, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and provide courteous, clear communication to tenants, guests, and teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor and contractor check-in, issuing badges when authorized, and directing individuals to approved destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, suspicious activity, and/or disturbances, and coordinate notifications to site contacts and/or public services as directed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per Allied Universal and site requirements, and communicate noteworthy activity during shift transitions.
