About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Rover in Menlo Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control points, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and deliver customer-focused communication with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or dispatch.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries; verify authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and report irregularities per post orders.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, patrol logs, and incident reports; support follow-up by preserving observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
