Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Rover in Passaic, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and report concerns using site procedures and technology. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help manage visitor processing and direction in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including observing conditions, providing clear communications, and contacting appropriate internal personnel and/or public responders when needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrol observations, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate status updates to supervision and/or site contacts per procedure.
