About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, supporting rapid coverage across the property through teamwork and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, directing visitors and contractors, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs per site requirements.
  • Monitor security-related alarms, cameras, and communication systems, and complete routine reports, incident reports, and shift activity logs using Allied Universal protocols.
