Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to routine needs with professional communication. You will support access points and report activity clearly while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and escalate concerns to site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with directing foot traffic to support orderly operations.
  • Complete patrol and incident reports, document unusual activity, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts per site procedures.
