About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post, where you will make routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. You will document observations and respond to situations with teamwork and integrity, backed by a caring culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to the appropriate on-site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor entrances and controlled areas, support visitor management, and/or verify access authorization consistent with site policies.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
